In an former post I praised the Mahmoud Khalil Museum in Cairo and its modern art collection, mentioning among others the painting of Van Gogh Genets et coquelicots. Well, two days ago the picture has been stolen with total impudence during visiting hours, which does not surprise me at all.
During our visit we realised that the alarms and surveillance cameras were not working, when we tried to wipe off the dirt of one of Rodin sculptures and nobody came to arrest us
Surveillance was null and the three museum employees were chatting at the reception desk. In no time we saw a security guard at any of the three floors of the museum. The Chinese vases from the collection were available to any vandal. The metal detector sounded as we passed through but the guards didn't show any concern.

But, I swear: we didn't do it!
Lamentable, pero muy buena tu entrada, Juan
