I found a video on YouTube of the Artist for Nature Foundation's Copper River Delta project in which I participated in 1995. The project was launched in support of Native corporations, Eyak Indians and Atabascan, some years after the Exxon Valdez disaster and to protest against the excessive timber extraction and the oil exploitation in national parks. There is also a book with the paintings produced by participating artists. I have a copy of that video in American format, which is difficult to make copies on DVD, so I'm happy to show it now on YouTube.
Two of the originals produced during the project: Moose and Steller's Jay. This last one in the drawings collection of the L. Y. Woodson Art Museum (Wausau, Wisconsin).

Que tal maestro. ¡Cuanto talento junto!

The moose is a very difficult animal to draw but your sketch here is superb.
ResponderEliminarThanks a lot Mäns I first saw it in Sweden 30 years ago and more recently in Norway. Is a huge and lovely beast. I sneaked in your blog, I admire your clean and straight use of color.
ResponderEliminarFantastic artwork! I like moose too, I've seen some in Finland but they are very elusive and shy and I was able to take sketches just in captivity! Superb!
ResponderEliminarSaluti.
