  1. I adore it Juan! Love in particular the bird on the right , the unusual posture of the head, not many artists would take that risk , and you did it one more time perfectly! The shape of the head from this angle reminds me a lot of an ancient aegyptian sculpture..

  2. Hi Paschalis, there are so many decisions to take when you start a new painting! But as you say, probably the main task as an artist is to take risks in order to learn from our mistakes and trials.
Thanks so much for your comments!

  3. I agree with both of you. Being brave is really part of the job. Those who never experience the frustration that the mistakes may result in don't learn anything. This painting must be the result of extraordinary sensibility to shape and color as well as years of experience, courage, and passion for both art and nature.

  4. That sounds like music to my ears Mans, thanks a lot. And yes, we learn by bounds and leaps and many times what's today a mistake may result in a new discovering. We learn during the process, and a finished painting hardly teach you anymore.

  7. What a wonderful painting! Your style reminds me a lot of the work of a certain Gotland-based bird artist. I am sure you regard that as a compliment.

  10. No todo iban a ser fotografías y documentales. En los dibujos siempre hay un componente interpretativo y re-creativo que los hace especiales.
    Un saludo
